This Privacy Policy explains how venue.fan ("we", "us") processes personal data when you use venue.fan and related services (the "Service").

1. Who we are

venue.fan operates a live and on-demand event platform for creators and viewers. For privacy questions, contact us via in-app support or the contact details published on venue.fan.

2. Data we collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may process:

  • Account data: email address, display name, locale preferences, and authentication codes.
  • Tenant / organizer data: organization name, branding assets, payout and tax-related details you provide, team member emails and roles.
  • Transaction data: ticket and tip purchases, amounts, currency, payment status, and limited payment metadata from our payment processor (we do not store full card numbers).
  • Event and streaming data: event metadata, chat messages sent in event rooms, technical stream/session identifiers, and VOD processing status.
  • Usage and device data: IP address, browser/user agent, approximate location derived from IP where needed for geo features, cookies or similar technologies for session and security, and basic analytics.
  • Support data: messages you send to support chat and related tickets.

3. How we use data

We use personal data to:

  • Provide, secure, and improve the Service (accounts, streaming, chat, VOD, embeds).
  • Process payments, refunds, payouts, and fraud prevention.
  • Communicate transactional messages (access codes, tickets, refunds, role changes).
  • Comply with law and enforce our Terms.
  • Analyze aggregated usage to improve reliability and product quality.

4. Legal bases (EEA/UK)

Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract; legitimate interests (security, product improvement, fraud prevention); consent where required (e.g. certain cookies or marketing); and legal obligation.

5. Sharing

We share data with:

  • Payment processors (e.g. Stripe) to complete transactions and payouts.
  • Cloud and infrastructure providers (hosting, object storage, email delivery, video services) as processors.
  • Creators for orders/tips related to their events (e.g. purchaser email as needed to fulfill tickets).
  • Authorities when required by law.

We do not sell personal data.

6. International transfers

Data may be processed in the UK, EEA, and other countries where our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses).

7. Retention

We retain account and transaction records as needed to operate the Service, meet legal/accounting requirements, and resolve disputes. Chat and support logs are retained for a limited operational period unless a longer period is required. You may request deletion subject to legal retention needs.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, and to object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. Contact us to exercise these rights. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies/sessions for authentication and security, and first-party attribution cookies to attribute ticket sales for organizers.

When an organizer enables marketing pixels (for example Meta, TikTok, Google Analytics, Google Ads, or Google Tag Manager) for their tenancy, those third-party scripts load only on that organizer’s subdomain public pages and only after a visitor accepts marketing cookies via the on-site banner. You can change that choice later through Cookie settings on the organizer’s site. We do not load one organizer’s pixels on another organizer’s tenancy or on the venue.fan apex marketing site.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16. Do not use the Service if you are under 16 without appropriate consent where required.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy by posting a new version on venue.fan. Material changes will be indicated by updating the date above.
